Week 4

I finally attended class and I had no idea what was going on so I was a little confused at first. We formed into groups to create a rough pitch for FlyRight and also spoke with the owner (I believe) of another client located in San Jose. The class so far seems like it will be fun, it's more hands on than the courses I'm accustomed to taking.

For the San Jose client, I simply asked how exactly vendors come about and if there needs to be more variety in terms of what is sold. The response that I received basically informed me that the vendors are more on a first come first serve basis. Vendors can come for one visit or a few, and from there decide whether or not they want to rent the spot for an extended amount of time. In regards to my second question, the multiple vendors that sell similar items are there to avoid monopolies, this way shoppers can bargain for what they want to buy.

My groups FlyRight pitch was pretty straight forward. We had one male and female on an airplane sitting right next to each other:

Female: Aren't you excited about going to China?
Male: Oh yeah
Female: But aren't you afraid of...jet-lag?
Male: No, I took FlyRight
Female: What's that?
Male: Well, FlyRight it's an all natural drink that you take to prevent jet-lag so that jet-lag is no worries.
Female: Really? Um, can I have some?
Male: Sure, I have some right here. Just take that and you'll be on your way.
Female: *drinks Flyright* I'm on my way, with FlyRight.
